Having had the chance to have my first contact with an ORAC as a child in Berlin, and then again as a young adult during my medical studies, Orgone Therapy training and an episode of compromised health, I had no doubts that offering the ORAC and self-built Orgone blankets to my patients would make sense. I never had any bad experiences with them, quite the opposite.
Without exception, everyone who tried them in my practice, had an experience very different from their expectations, and in the case of the blankets, very different from normal duvets. Most had very positive effects supporting the course of restoring their health and a balanced and pulsating energy metabolism.
Of course I took great care choosing the ones who would benefit from it, or at least didn’t have a risk of negative effects. And over the years, it became quite easy to predict who would benefit from it more or less.
There are few who shouldn´t use them without further consideration, like patients with Leukemia, with tumors in certain locations like inside the skull or close to important blood vessels, patients with untreated high blood pressure, asthma, or acute inflammatory processes should not use them as well.
Some of the latter can also benefit a lot, when the ORAC and/or blanket are used with care, after or in combination with the body therapy, that is helping them to establish ways of dealing with the enhanced charge(i.e. opening the blocked discharge channels), or to learn how to allow vegetative relaxation and pulsation towards the vagal side.
Not having any doubts about the strong effects of the ORAC doesn´t neccessarily mean that I find the explanations for the functioning of the ORAC very satisfying. I think there are more questions than answers, and often a confusion between observation and causation.
So while using it with confidence for 30 years now, I always struggle when asked, “And how does it work?”, because I can repeat all the ideas about organic and inorganic matter and their characteristics, and all the functional principles Reich described about stronger and weaker energy systems and the draw of charge to the stronger one. And despite all the positive experiences I can share, the answer to that simple logical question is still unknown.
But to be able to discuss my experiences on a scientific foundation and to be taken seriously, and to once and for all show a connection between the ORAC and the various effects it has with the user, I suppose we will have to go back to the basic questions, and find the answers.
The one I decided to focus on first is: What effect does the ORAC have on the vegetative nervous system(VNS) of the human being, and by that on its physiology.
Other than the Orgone energy, that as far as I know still cannot be measured directly, the VNS and its pulsation and quality of functioning are shown immediately in the coherence of the heart rate variability (HRV), which can be measured quite easily, non-invasively, and is already established as a predictor of health and the progression of disease, for example with intensive care patients.
Once this project is done, it still doesn’t say why and how layers of wool and steel wool surrounding an organism in a certain manner lead to more coherence of its HRV, but at least it would allow us to use it more openly and to do further research regarding the health effects in patients with certain diagnosis.
Both I consider neccessary for a wider spread of Orgonomic medicine.
